Kanchanaburi..with Efrain

Early morning on Thursday, Efrain and I(after crashing at Katie's apt in Bangkok) headed to Kanchanaburi for the long weekend. We stayed at the Blue Star, the same place I always stay, and made sure we got there bright and early so we would have time to get in Erawan. We made it out to Erawan waterfall by about noon, and I once again climbed to the seventh level, only this time it wasn't pouring down rain.

Friday we took the floating market tour in the morning:

the long boat tour in the afternoon(which included the cemetery, the cave temple, the JEATH museum, and the River Kwai Bridge):

and went to the Floating Restaurant for dinner:

but not without catching a few minutes of the Royal Wedding on the flat screen at our guesthouse lol

Saturday we rode and bathed elephants in the morning:

and visited the Tiger Temple in the afternoon:

Saturday night I ordered my first bowl of curry! lol

Sunday morning we woke up early, hopped a minivan back to Bangkok, dropped our stuff at my apt, then headed back to the city for church before going to pick up Stephanie and her mom at the airport.

Harry and Melissa's Farewell

Wednesday night, April 27th, we said goodbye to my South African coworkers, Harry and Melissa, whose contracts had come to a close and were preparing to leave Thailand. We had delicious bbq at the mexican restaurant in Champs, and said our tearful farewells.

End of Summer School!

Summer school ended on a high note, with each class displaying their work on tables outside for the other classes and the parents.
