Halloween

I promise I'm getting those October trip posts up soon, but to hold you a few more days (and before I forget), here's some pics from Halloween!

I was Minnie Mouse to work with my students...

....and then Pastor Stewart asked us to dress as superheroes for church on Sunday, so I decided on Wonder Woman! I spent ALL WEEKEND making that darn headband and wristbands, but it turned out really good :D

There was, however, one little munchkin who was not such a big fan of my awesome costume: Superbaby. 

Apparently I was stealing his thunder, and to make matters worse, his mommy wouldn't let him ride in my invisible jet, lol.

Dreamworld

The day after Gavin left, I headed out to Dreamworld, one of the (or the only) theme park in Thailand with Celeste and our Thai friend, Mai. It was a day full of silly pictures, cheesy shows, yummy food, and absolute hilarity.

Totally rode this...but with much-needed ponchos haha

So I got it into my head that I HAD to have this giant stuffed rhinoceros...and threw upwards of 900B at various 'games' in a vain attempt to acquire said rhino...to no avail. Mai and Celeste patiently looked on, stifling their laughter as I stubbornly refused to give in to defeat. After about an hour, having repeatedly failed every miserable thing I tried, and nearly in tears over it, in true Thai fashion (and compassion), the workers took pity on me and gave me a consolation prize, a small white stuffed bear with a bright pink bow. Not quite what I was going for, but they were so nice to give it to me I couldn't say no. Sigh...

Last on the agenda for the day, we sat in on the special effects show...and Celeste so wonderfully volunteered me to join in the fun. It was...interesting. But fun did ensue. :)
